embroidery floss in:
green
red
yellow

fabric for front decoration work I used a woven look print cotton in tan.
small fabric for backing , 9x12"
I used a cherry print with blossoms and leaves, on white for mine
1 yard eyelet lace about 3/4 " wide.

instructions:
print out pattern , trace with a transferable marker pencil like aunt Martha's in red. with iron an very hot setting press transfer to right side of cotton for the front. cut out about 1/2" around the edge of the heart for seam allowance.
cut out backing the same heart shape size . Put the right sides together and pin. Sew around the heart at 1/2" in and leave an opening big enough to turn , I leave my opening at the side near the bottom of the heart.
Turn inside out and stuff firmly with polyfil. blind stitch the opening closed.
Using the photo of my pillow as a guide , embroidery the design using an outline stitch and french knots for the dots. Edge the pillow in eyelet lace by stitching on my hand. sign the back if desired and add a loop on top to hang. if you add a touch of dried lavender in the heart you can hang off a hanger in the closet!
I would love to see the one you make! You can use this pattern as you like, but please give me designer credit. thank you!
